Ultra Car Wash is committed to environmental stewardship. When you visit one of our locations, you can be assured your car is being washed in a way that has a minimal environmental impact.
Certified Car Wash Facility
All of our Georgia locations have been Certified by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) as meeting best management practices for water conservation. This certification is available only to car washes that meet strict EPD requirements. In addition, all of our locations are recognized by the International Car Wash Association’s Water Savers program as meeting its high standards for water conservation.
Recycling / Reclamation
We reclaim 100% of our water that is subsequently filtered and cleaned. As a result, 85%-90% of the water used to wash your car has been recycled. Only 15 gallons of fresh water is used in the wash process. Compare this to 30 gallons for the average shower, 50 gallons for the average washing machine and 18 gallons for the average dishwasher.
Electricity usage is a major component of operating a car wash. All Ultra Car Wash locations have installed energy saving devices that dramatically lower our electrical usage. On average, our electrical use has declined 30%-50% after installing this technology. Ultra Car Wash is an industry leader in utilizing this technology and has less electrical usage than other comparable car washes.
We are very aware of the potential harmful effects of chemicals on our streams and rivers. This is the primary reason why washing your car at home is a bad idea and how a professional car wash has less environmental impact. Our reclaim process filters and eliminates harmful chemicals before being discharged to the sewer system. In addition, we use environmentally friendly chemicals where possible and never use dangerous chemicals such as Hydroflouric Acid. We invest heavily in more cleaning equipment to avoid the use of harsh chemicals yet our cleaning ability is second to none.
